US President Donald Trump shared a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interview with Lex Fridman on his social media platform, Truth Social. In the podcast, PM Modi discussed a wide range of topics, including artificial intelligence, cricket, football, China, and the relationship between India and the United States.

During the interview, PM Modi expressed admiration for President Trump’s dedication to his country, particularly in the face of adversity. He recalled Trump’s resilience during his election campaign, even after being shot, saying, “He remained unwaveringly dedicated to America. His life was for his nation.”

PM Modi also emphasized the parallels between Trump’s “America First” approach and his own “India First” ideology, which has helped foster a strong connection between the two leaders. “I stand for India first and that’s why we connect so well,” Modi said. He added that political leaders often have their perceptions shaped by media, and personal interactions could help clear misunderstandings.

The interview also revisited their memorable meeting at the “Howdy Modi” event in Houston in 2019, where Trump’s humility stood out. Modi recalled how Trump sat in the audience while Modi spoke on stage, showcasing his humility. Modi further mentioned a touching moment when, despite strict security protocols, Trump agreed to walk with him through a crowded stadium to greet the Indian diaspora, demonstrating mutual trust and respect.

Modi also praised Trump’s gestures of friendship, noting that even after his term ended, Trump continued to express warm regards for him, highlighting the strong bond between the two leaders.

The Indian Prime Minister concluded by noting that Trump seemed even more prepared and focused in his second presidential run, with a clear vision for his goals. Modi’s remarks highlighted the ongoing friendship and trust between the two leaders, further strengthening the US-India relationship.
